Credit card holders are getting unrequested addon services

Dubai: Credit shields and pre-approved personal loans are the new add-on ’services’ many UAE banks are piggy-backing on their credit cards, in many cases without even the consent of customers. In a recent letter to Gulf News a reader complained of a foreign bank operating in the country sending him a cheque for Dh40,000 as a pre-approved loan without him even applying for such a loan.
